Job Introduction
We are looking for passionate, knowledgeable and experienced Events Porters to join our Events Team! Events Porters act as guardians for all Tate Events equipment and beverage stock. They assist with all elements of event prep, set up, duration and pack down, transporting goods between Tate Modern and Tate Britain as needed.
Our ideal candidate has experience of operating in a catering or kitchen environment in a large, multi-site, multi venue setting. They will be passionate about delivering world class events, food & beverage, people, and teamwork. This individual has a meticulous eye for detail that drives the highest operating standards. They are an effective communicator, a relationship builder and someone who is comfortable and confident in their ability to overcome anything that is thrown their way.
You must hold a valid UK Driver’s Licence, clean for the last 2 years, and be at least 21 years old to meet the requirements of our van insurance. You must also be able to undertake a high volume of manual handling e.g. lifting kegs of up to 30kg. As this is an operational role, it will involve some unsociable hours including mornings and evenings on a rotational basis.
