TG1427250 - Visitor Assistant, Ticketing (Casual)

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Visitor Experience team at Tate St Ives, Cornwall!

First impressions are really important to us, so if you would like to be one of the first people our visitors meet, and you take pride in giving them an exceptional welcome, then this role is for you.

Your day will be varied across a number of locations in the galleries and on the admissions desk at Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Wherever you are, you’ll be helping a diverse range of audiences to get the most from their visit.

With keen attention to detail, you’ll welcome the last visitor of the day with as much kindness and attention to detail as you did the first. We’ll ensure you are provided with the resources, training and support to thrive and be your best for yourself and our visitors.

Casual Visitor Assistants provide flexible cover as required; therefore, hours will vary. Hours are offered with as much notice as possible over a 7-day rota, so you may be asked to cover weekends and bank holidays. The hours are offered on an ad hoc basis, so you are free to decline hours that are not suitable for you and Tate is under no obligation to offer you hours.

We don’t accept CVs, so please complete all sections of the form, including your education and work history. Use this space to share specific examples of what you’ve done and how you work.

Tools like ChatGPT can be useful for exploring thoughts, but we ask that the words you share with us are your own. Responses that feel overly generic or artificially generated may not reflect the individuality we value—and could affect how your application is received or result in it being rejected.

Take your time. Be honest. We’re listening.
